2006 Community Interventions

In 2005-2006, the Georgia Division of Aging Services, the University of Georgia, and the aging services network partnered to develop, implement, and evaluate two Community Interventions called “Serving Up Fruits and Vegetables Everyday” and “Seniors Taking Charge of Diabetes.” Results from the outcome evaluation of these interventions increased fruit and vegetable intake, physical activity, physical function, and diabetes self-management in older adults at senior centers.  Below are the intervention lesson plans, bingo games, chair exercises, evaluation reports, and a PowerPoint presentation summarizing the outcomes and the benefits to participants.
