• I have 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren
• I moved to Rockmart as a young girl.
• My husband was in the army during WWII.
• I worked for Goodyear 24 years.
• I love to travel. When my husband was living, we traveled to Switzerland, Hawaii, Italy, Austria. Plus, I believe we have been to almost every state in the U.S.
• I have a Grandson who plays football in Louisville, Ky and I go to his games. I went to the Super Bowl in Jacksonville.
• I still drive my car.
• I read a lot, magazines and the newspapers.
• I give credit to God, the Good Lord and am thankful for my life. My church is the Fairview Baptist Church.
• I eat healthy now. I got away from using butter and salt. I eat very few sweets, red meat & pork. I eat mostly chicken and fish.
• I walk 3 miles a day and like to work in my garden growing tomatoes, okra, squash & cucumbers.

Do you visit a senior center?

Yes, whenever I can. Rockmart in Polk County.

How long have you been attending the center?

4 years.

What made you start going to the center?

Friends.

What kinds of activities do you enjoy at the center?

I like all of it. I play bingo, do the exercise machines, and enjoy the music activities.

How has the center helped you Age Well and Live Well?

I look forward to seeing everyone. It is good for me. The meals they serve are also good for you.

Do you volunteer at your senior center or at other community organizations?

I keep my grandchildren.

What advice would you give to young people today on how to live a good long life?

Don't get addicted to anything. Live a clean life. Always be nice to everyone. Let church be a part of your life. Eat healthy and exercise.
