Tell us about your family and your accomplishments.
- I have 2 sons, 1 daughter.
- I only have one brother living, there were 7 of us - 5 boys and 2 girls.
- I'm most proud of being able to take care of my Mother for 10 years before she passed away in 1992.
- I worked in Rockmart & Cartersville for Goodyear for 25 years. I've lived in Rockmart since 1960, 45 years.
- I participated in the AARP Senior Center Walking Program last April. I wear the pedometer all the time and walk about 15,000 steps per day. In a year I have walked about 1900 miles. Sometimes I have walked on the Silver Comet Trail, often just around my yard, house and the Senior Center. I even wear it at night because when I get up at night, I add steps.
- I enjoy gardening and taking care of my flowers. I raise sage, bell peppers & tomatoes in my vegetable garden. I use the sage for making chicken dressing.
