I have one son.
Highlights of my accomplishments include:
- Member and past president of the North Georgia Garden Club.
- Member of the Georgia Daylily Society and The National Daylily Society
- Raises hybrid daylilies
- National Daylily Show judge
- Member of First Baptist Church in Commerce, GA
Do you visit a senior center?
Yes, Jackson County.
How long have you been attending the center? What made you start going to the center?
Six months. My doctor, Beth Sullivan, suggested it.
What kinds of activities do you enjoy at the center?
Exercises, BINGO, and the wellness program by the Governor of the State of Georgia.
How has the center helped you Age Well and Live Well?
Keep fit, eat balanced diet, and meet new people.
Do you volunteer at your senior center or at other community organizations?
Not now, but I have in the past.
What advice would you give to young people today on how to live a good long life?
- Eat good foods.
- Do not smoke - I never have.
- Respect your parents and other people.
- Get a good education - this can never be taken away from you.
- Be a blessing to your parents. Make them proud of you.
